We had to take down all our posts for a while. We did not realize that to put them back up would repost them in everyone's feeds. We apologize for that. We also will do our best, as life allows, to get the rest of the posts up as soon as possible. :)

Feeling Giddy

My heart longs to be led.  I can't tell you why.  I can't explain this deep need I feel, or the happy comfort I feel when it happens, but it's there.

Life never stops.  Each time we try to restart DD, something comes up to stop us before we even start.  But now, it looks like we finally are going to be able to take flight.  Baby is starting to sleep through a few hours at a time.  Baby has had a rough go of ear infections and having just turned one, already has 10 teeth with four more trying to come through to torture her.  So hopefully when that is done she'll do even longer sleep stretches. :)  We've also had a steady stream of family staying with us.  Sometimes multiple family members.  And the winter will probably ensure a good couple of months for us to work on getting our groove back.

I am getting excited to try again!  The Duke has started flirting a lot lately.  He's already bought my vday gift, another puppy to add to the collection he started me. :) He's spending more time with us as a famiy, and I feel my heart hungering more each time.  I feel so giddy with excitement. :)  I'm starting to feel that old love again. :)

  1. WOW 1 all ready...now it gets a lot more fun...and more sleep. I love that age when they are learning to talk and discover the world around them. You and Duke have been though a LOT...time for just the two of you is over due...giddy is good...very very good.

    1. Not much more sleep yet as she's sick with a cold, but I'm looking forward to it. :) And I am liking the giddy. :) It is a lot of fun.

  2. I look back on the early years of my children's lives and although they were so full and busy, or maybe because they were, they seemed to rush by at speed.
I feel like you with the deep unexplainable need. To have him step up and lead properly, to have me feel able to step back properly. It's there at times and then not at others. No time is ever completely right, but you might get 'snippets' in every now and then.
It's lovely to hear from you x

    1. That is what I love, the snippets. :) I used to think this life would be so perfect, but I love how it all played out.

  3. Hi Es may, it's so great to hear from you. One already, wow! I'm sorry about the ear infections and hope it settles down. A wonderful age :)

As Abby said, giddy is good and I love your last paragraph :) I hope you and the Duke are able to start making your way back to where you want to be soon.

    1. Thank you, Roz, it's good to be back. :) And I think we will be able to start working our way back. The giddiness is still there, and I think that makes it more hopeful. :)

    1. I know, I mean, in a way it feels like we always had her, in another... she's done being a baby... yes, there were some hard moments swallowing that in the past few weeks.

  5. Wow EsMay...hard to believe your little on is already a year old. My ex and I practiced DD the entire time my boys were growing up so I know it is possible. Good luck getting back on track. Sending healing energy for your baby.

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

    1. Thank you, Cat, that really gives me a lot of hope! :) I do hope we can have another one, though we won't be distraught if we can't. But knowing that it's doable to do DD even with little ones running around, really helps. :)

  6. I cannot believe the baby is one! My how time flies. I'm hoping the DD start gets to work this time. I know how it is to start and stop when your heart longs for it. xoxo

    1. The stopping and starting is hard, but thankfully the need seems to have eased. We have learned so many wonderful things along with DD, that they continue to bless us, and make our marriage stronger, even when DD needs to take a back seat. All the same, I'm still excited to get back to it. :) :)

  7. So glad to see you back. Children have a way of changing your dynamics that is for sure. Remember what you and Duke had before you were blessed with her. With time you both will find what works best for you. Children are only small for a short time and do grow up and go on to do their own thing and once again you and Duke will be left to continue moving forward. Take things slow and ease back in and things will eventually end up where you left off.

Please feel free to leave any comments, but I do ask you to be kind. We go into this with eyes wide open after months of prayer, and a peace in our hearts that this is the right choice before God for our marriage. I am open to questions from those who wonder why we made this choice, but I would ask for no personal attacks. Thank you. :)
