Wonderful, Blissful, Evening

Well, I know many of you out there have been told to get off the computer.  Have any of you ever been told to get on?  Because that is what my husband told me to do just a few minutes ago.

"I want you to lay down, and get on the computer.  I just brought it to you, it's on the bed, I want you to lay down, or sit down with it."

Okay, before you go thinking I'm getting spoiled, I should admit what happened just before hand to warrant the order he issued. :)  I wrestle with hypoglycemia.  Meaning when certain events happen I end up with low sugars.  I've struggled with this since I was in my teens.  Well, for some reasons the meds I'm on right now are really robbing my sugars.  I'm shaking at times, finding it hard to walk, and last night couldn't even get up.  I couldn't even lift the glass of chocolate milk to my lips and my husband had to do it for me.  I was very humbled, but also very scared.  So tonight my husband helped me wash my hair over the side of the tub, I felt I shouldn't take a shower.  And thank goodness I listened to the voice in my head, because as I was brushing my hair out, I started to shake, and then when I went to flip my hair beside the door frame, I ended up falling into it. :(  My husband told me to lay down.  I told him I wanted to do half an hour of house work tonight, and that I'd be okay, I even asked to do just twenty minutes.  And then I got the order you see above.

Ah... I love that man.  And he SOOOO helped me get out of my funk today.  He came and had my lunch time with me. :)  He then picked up Swiss Chalet for supper and got me a treat.  We came home, had our food, and then called his mom for a bit.  Then he pulled out a game, and I TOTALLY kicked his butt. :)  He wasn't even half way around the board when I finished.  I NEVER win games, never.  I feel so good, not in a gloating way, but that I didn't end up the loser once again. :)  And great, if you had been here right now, you would have definitely called me a loser!  I just spelt it looser when typing it out.  LOL

His friend tried to hang out with him again and he told him no, that tonight was my night!  I really, really needed tonight to reconnect.  I needed to just spend time with Hubby, talking, joking, laughing.  It feels so great to be one with him again.  So now I submit while sitting on my laptop.  He told me this was for my own good, and he's right.  Yes, I want to clean, but it isn't worth if it I end up in the wall, or worse.  The meds are kicking the infection's butt, I can already see a big difference.  Here's hoping I survive the meds though.  LOL  You know, just seeing him telling his friend no tonight, and putting his foot down with me, he's really growing.  Five or six months ago, I don't think he would have done either.

Thank you all for your support yesterday, once again, you guys rock.  I got about 7 hours of sleep last night, maybe a bit more, and I think that helped a lot too. :)  Though, my precious, adorable, love of my life cat WILL be spending the night in the bathroom!  I LOVE him, but he also is the reason I didn't end up with 9 hours of sleep instead.  He's lucky I love him or else he'd be deported instead of just spending the night in the bathroom!  lol

  1. Goodness those meds don't sound great at all. How are you even managing to go to work? I am happy that they are curing your infection, but I'm still worried over/ up/ down here...well wherever I am compared to you ( at least I know what Swiss Chalet is!)

When you are better I need you to email me again. I have something to DISCUSS with you young lady....okay really? Did you buy that?

Seriously, I am so happy you are feeling reconnected again. It should help with your recovery. Your hubs is paying attention, what more could a girl ask for?!

  2. Awww Es May...was so happy to see this post when I came to visit. Keep on your meds and getting as much rest as possible, you will kick this bug. You two are growing and it is a joy to see. Kudos to your husband for saying no to his friend...I know that really lifted your heart. Still sending healing energy and prayers your way.

BTW...have never heard of Swiss Chalet, don't have one around here. ;)

    Blessings,
    Cat

Swiss Chalet is only the MOST WONDERFUL place to eat food. I always get Chicken on a Kaiser. Juicy roasted chicken on a Kaiser bun with a bit of butter dripping down, and the softest mashed potatoes on the planet without being watery. MMMMMM, great, now I'm hungry again! LOL

    1. Swiss Chalet is a restaurant that specializes in meals with roasted chicken. So juicy, so flavourful, so heavenly. You can't rush a Swiss Chalet meal. :) You could try, but it's so scrumptious that your mouth insists on savouring the each juicy morsel. MMMMMmmmm, SOOO GOOD! I'll have to put a link up with my favourite meal on my next post. You guys don't know what you're missing! :) :) Well, if blogger is conspiring with your husband, I'll have to sit down and have a talk with it! Because... from the sounds of it, if I tried with your husband, he might win that one! ;) :) hehehe And then he might never let you back on for my interferance. Hehehe, JK. :)

    3. HEHEHE, what would have been even more funny is if you'd had one venting to blogger that it wouldn't work, or a post of "alvdnaoehtapisdg ldkghapsohg asdlkgh" lol. :) You know, the venting frustrations on the keyboard. lol Sorry that blogger is acting up. :(

    2. LOL as I was pressing send to you, he brought me over a greek yogurt, reminded me that I forgot to have one last night, and told me to have it now. The antibiotics can cause another infection (it says those lovely womenly ones we all LOVE to get) :( and the yogurt will prevent that. He's so cute this way!!! :)

  8. Sorry the pills to make you better are robbing your body of the other things it needs to function. Isn't that life - two steps foward one step back. Just not fair.

Glad your hubby is taking such great care of you. Hope you continue to feel better.

  9. There is a Swiss Chalet restaurant where I grew up in Lake Tahoe. But it is one of the nicest restaurants there is. The food is way better than the casinos fancy places to eat. The owners are Swiss.
Glad you and your husband are doing so well. Love the steps forward in a relationship.

    1. I have heard there are some in the states, but as a different type of restaurant. The photos I saw were beautiful. :) Did the one you saw resemble a real Swiss Chalet, with fire place and the like? :) :) If so, I'm coming to visit. ;) And thank you, I'm glad we've finally reconnected again too. :) :)

Please feel free to leave any comments, but I do ask you to be kind. We go into this with eyes wide open after months of prayer, and a peace in our hearts that this is the right choice before God for our marriage. I am open to questions from those who wonder why we made this choice, but I would ask for no personal attacks. Thank you. :)
