Still Getting His Groove On

So the Duke is still getting his groove on.

I was ordered to bed early last night.  Was told to make his belated birthday cake a certain way, and then changed his mind. LOL  We've been doing devotions again for a few weeks, and have committed to sticking to it this time.  So when I got into bed, I figured he'd want me to go straight to sleep.  Nope, he told me we WOULD be doing devotions.  I laughed, and asked if I could challenge him on it.  He said "NO".  LOL  He's putting his foot down a lot.  And I love it.  I hope I still love it in a month or two. ;)

I have yet to have a punishment spanking throughout all this, but I did fall through on one of my chores today.... so that might be happening?  But I was just so tired today, and had no energy, I'm still fighting this cold, and even though I'm doing better, have a hard time over exherting my body still.  But I think with all that, he'll understand, and I got to do computer work because of it.  I'm actually a bit terrified now of my next punishment spanking.  He's so confident now.  That's going to REALLY HURT!!!  I am going to be on my BEST behaviour for sure!

Been playing around with my blog background for weeks, and tried like 10 of them out today.  None felt right, this one I have up now felt that best, but still, it's not quite what I want, so it will change some day.  So if you were on today and my background kept changing, sorry. ;)  I make all my backgrounds, graphics and title bars from scratch, so I wanted to test them out to see how they really looked on the blog.  I do believe I have the title bar EXACTLY how I want it though. :)  The fun thing was, I'd never tried to make buttons before, so it was fun to make some for the page up now. :)

    3. Um, Es May being a church going lady you might not want me to find words that rhyme with sick :)

I am so glad that you are finely getting what you want and I hope he don't punish you to hard. May e he'll give a get out of spanking pass yes?

    1. He decided not to punish me since it would have been worse to push myself. :)

For all my photo work I use Paint Shop Pro. I have the X3 version. To make the buttons I first made the circles, and then made circles for the eyelets. Next I cropped out the main part of the button, and for some I did the 3D effect of cutout, and some I did the inner or outerbevel in the 3D effects. And lastly I put the 3D effect of chisel on the ones that look like they have a larger edge to them. It was fun. :) I just played around with the settings, hoping a 3D button would emerge from it, and they did. :) A great way to also get different sizes and styles to all match in color without colorizing. :)

  3. Hey Es May...Love the title bar...it is beautiful! Love the button strips down the sides...they are really cute! Not sure about the zebra strips...they're pretty but the optical illusion sorta bothers my eyes. Of course, that's just me so do not change just because my eyes are goofy!

Happy to hear things are going well and the Duke is getting his groove on. ;) Sending lots of prayers and healing energy for you. Take it easy and don't try to do too much too soon!

    Hugs and Blessings,

    1. OH CAT!!! You poor thing! And you want to know the funny thing? I only had that zebra print up for about a minute before the Duke so "kindly" told me he liked the bricks better. How funny you caught it that one minute it was up. :) I hope the bricks are easier on your eyes! :)

And thank you, I will try to behave. :)

    3. Glad you like. :) Glad your "goofy" eyes like. ;) But I don't think they're goofy, the zebra stripes were WAY too busy and loud. ;)

  4. Like the look. You are very technically talented, unlike me.

    1. I am glad you like the look. I actually don't feel technically challenged. It takes me a lot longer to do this stuff than a lot of people, but I do love to play around. :) What sort of things are you talented at? :)

  5. Hey Es May, I love the look, you certainly are very clever :) Goodness, I'm sorry you are still sick! Please take things easy and don't overwork yourself.

I'm so happy to hear you two are doing so well. Try not to focus on, or worry about any punishment spankings. You just put your trust in the Duke and it will be OK. But it won't happen will it, because you are going to behave ... right? :) I'm glad he didn't punish you in this instance.

    Hugs,
    Roz

    1. I am doing a lot better than I was, but yes, I am still sick. Hopefully will keep getting better.:) I will definitely try not to think on the punishments. :) Though, I've been getting WAY behind in my workouts. I told the Duke last night, and a few nights ago, even if I can only do ten minutes, I need to be doing them again. He says he's going to have to start punishing me on those, and he needs to, I know.

    1. Well I wouldn't say all by myself, I have a great paint program that does what I tell it too. lol ;) But yes, everything here was made by me. After mistakenly naming my blog the same as someone else in DD land, and also my link, I decided I'd keep the look original. LOL Two strikes already, a third might make people think I'm a complete poser. LOL

BTW, LOVE your new look too! It's so beautiful. :) I want to get that good at designing someday. :)

And thank you. :) We are trying to keep going forward, and doing good so far, now we're putting in the rule about me exercising... this is where we go downhill! lol

    1. June... I am truly humbled... thank you. :) Yeah, I made that one too. I should put up some of the backgrounds I didn't end up using in case anyone else would like to grab them. :)

And you're right, the consistency is so great! :)

  8. You are making your backgrounds from scratch!? Wow Es May...that is amazing. I couldn't do that in a million years.

    I like the buttons...and butterflies.

Your man picking things up is very encouraging and I love doing night time devotions. It's very snuggly...lol...I'm sure you know what I mean. It's a great way to end the day.

    1. Well, I am no good at drawing in real life, though starting to get better after all the playing around I've done on my paint program, but it is way easier than it looks. :) I promise. :)

I am glad you like the buttons and butterflies. I'm not sure why I picked butterflies to be honest, but they're cute. :)

Hehehe, devotions at night is great. :) Praying together in a new way is so great too. :)

Please feel free to leave any comments, but I do ask you to be kind. We go into this with eyes wide open after months of prayer, and a peace in our hearts that this is the right choice before God for our marriage. I am open to questions from those who wonder why we made this choice, but I would ask for no personal attacks. Thank you. :)
